O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree.....

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! The tree is up!!!! (click to view larger) Granted, it is lacking a FEWWWWW decorations, but it is up. You see, I have a hang up with Christmas Trees. I don't want to just go "buy random ornaments" to fill the space, and have the tree full of meaningless "Good Deal" ornaments. So, for a few years, it will remain more on the "bare" side of things. But, Rob and I (as well as our future little ones) will collect ornaments, so that the tree is sentimental. I really can imagine in years to come (many years down the road)- putting up the tree with our children, and each ornament telling a story. Anyway, for now, there are some sentimental ornaments on the tree- and for this year, I plan on purchasing some really large glass balls, and some bows with long ribbons, to stream down the tree. But, I got the tree up last night, and strung no less that 1,000 lights on the tree. (I'm not even kidding with the 1,000 lights!).

It is so beautiful. I love to sit on my loveseat, with the fireplace going, the football game on the TV, and my Christmas Tree shining bright. This is just the best time of the year!!

We managed to pull off the Family Thanksgiving!!! We had everyone over to our house this year! (Yes, I am crazy). But, it just seemed fitting. We had our new house, and I wanted everyone to be able to keep their houses clean and free of entertaining, so everyone came over here. It was really, really nice.

This week I am continuing with my interviews and job hunt. I am hopeful that I am going to be blessed with an opportunity and a job that I will be happy at- and will provide me wih a little better working hours and environment.

What else do I know....OH! Our wedding is October 11th, in case anyone forgot...and we are having our engagement pictures done on March 30th. We are having them taken at the Dallas Arboretum to start...and then we are having the 2nd half of the shoot done in Downtown Dallas. We are taking the bikes down there, and having some shots done with the bikes. Our photographer is also going to be taking some "mobile" shots on the bikes...so we'll have some shots of us riding in action!!! I absolutely love our photographer!!! I can't wait!

Oh yeah---- my dress ships on January 25th!!!!!!!!!!!! About 2 months from NOW!!!! I am just so so so so excited. But that also means I REALLLLY gotta get serious with the weight loss, LOL.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! This cold weather just made it all the better! I love it!

*sigh*

Yes...yes...I need to update.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Refreshed!!! I am feeling refreshed. I have been given the encouragement and reminding that I have been needing, and everything is going to be ok. It is going to be MORE than ok. It may take a while to get there, and the road may be bumpy, but it IS going to be ok.
Let's see...this weekend on Friday, I will be working a half day. My aunt is going to be in town, so we are going to try on the 6 bridesmaid dresses that I have narrowed it down too, LOL. Shut Up. I've narrowed it down to 6...that's good enough for now!! I still don't have an exact color palate yet, and I think my florist is going to strangle me...but at least I've got the style of dress down..........................................kinda =)
So that is what is going on Friday. Then Saturday morning, Rob and I are leaving bright and early to go on a small bike trip. We are taking the bikes to Louisiana, about 4 hours from here, to hang out with a small group of friends for the afternoon/evening. We are REALLY looking forward to it, and sure hope the weather holds up!!
Sunday, we are returning home early, and will be going to dinner for my mom's birthday!!! There are QUITE a few of us getting together, so I know it will be a good time!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
*And to a very special friend....you will be ok. Everything is going to be ok. It's not going to be easy making it through...but you will. You have too. Don't give up...it can get better =)

Shhhh be vewwwy, vewwwy quiet!!!

So this weekend, I'm just not sure quite what to with myself. You see, Rob has ventured down towards the Waco area with one of his groomsmen to meet up with another one his groomsmen, for some kind of "hunting" adventure. I, however, think it's a good excuse for them to enjoy some beer...but ya know, whatever!! I know he will have a great time. Dillon and Liz (Groomsmen & Bridesmaid) have a beautiiifuul cabin outside of Waco on quite a bit of land. We went down there, about a year ago and spent the weekend. It was wonderful. Anyway, Dillon asked if Rob and JP wanted to go down there for the weekend to hunt some kind of animal, so they did! He was kind enough to leave me here with this messy house I need to clean, along with 2 very antsy critters.
Honestly, I don't have any wedding planning appointments or errands I need to run this weekend, so I think I am going to enjoy my weekend to myself. Jaccuzi baths with wine, cleaning house while drinking wine, hanging out with my wine....ya know...the norm :) I do think I will run by our wedding venue today, to meet with my coordinator to ask her a couple of questions. While mom and I met with our florist last night, it triggered a couple of questions that I need to get answers too :)
Last night, mom and I met with Rhonda at North Texas Floral. We had met with her once before about 2 weeks ago, and just fell in love with her!!! I cannot WAIT to see all of the flowers at this wedding. It is going ot be incredible!!! Anyway, mom and I needed to meet with her last night to go over the quote she sent us, and make any small changes. She informed me that she loves to meet at the store after hours, so that she can drink WINE =) My kinda woman!!! So anyway, mom and I met her at 6:30, and found that we left there at 9:45!!!! Eeek. Oops. Oh well. Rhonda was in no hurry, Rob was out of town, my dad is in Denver reffing some Big XII football game, so we just sat around and laughed and planned the wedding. It was a wonderful time.
So mom and I left there at 9:45 on stomachs full of wine and no food (oops-hehehe) so we decided we needed to grab some dinner. We went to Fireside Pies, since we were already over at the Shops at Legacy. I love love love love Fireside Pies! Yum. So mom and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner and I made it home around 11:00. Let the dogs out, and climbed into bed!
Piddled around this morning, and again, don't have too many plans--BUT I better enjoy these weekends of "nothing to do" before ALL of them become packed with Holiday Shopping, Wedding Planning, and appointments!!! I swear, right now this wedding seems forever far away, but it will creep up on us before you know it!
So next in line, I will need to contact Ms Carole Reid...to talk about our CAKES!!!! YAHHHOOO!!! I'm sure Rob will perk up when I mention it's time to talk about "food" for the wedding, LOL.
I keep typing thinking this house will clean itself, but I'm afraid I am setting myself up for disappointment! I suppose I will heat up the leftover pizza from last night, and break out a brook =)

Random- I love my ring. Rob did perfect. Perfect, perfect, perfect..and did it ALL himself. We never even LOOKED at rings. Nothing. He designed this whole ring, and picked out each and every diamond. I LOVE YOU ROB!!!
