To have and to hold....

I cannot wait to marry the most amazing, precious, caring, patient, giving, and loving man that you could ever meet. Oh how very much I love him. One day...I might be able to find the words to say it just perfectly. Until then...I am going to try each day to show him how very much he means to me and our future.

7 months from tomorrow we will become husband and wife. Happily ever after.....

I love you Rob, and I miss you tonight =) We are thinking about you!!!!

Blogger Bugger- LOL

No...not BOOGER...but BUGGER.

Mrs.Lauren Neaves has informed me that I need to update. Yep...let's go ahead and add this to my "To-Do" list and we will go ahead and cross it off as well!!! It seems these days, that anything, and I mean ANYTHING I can cross off a list, is a welcomed blessing!

Have I mentioned how very glad I am to only be planning 1 wedding in my lifetime?!?!? I love planning my wedding, don't get me wrong. However- I simply mean I will not be pursuing a career as a wedding planner...or anything having to do with weddings, LOL. And in all honesty...my wedding planning hasn't been a nightmare. Not even close. It is just tedious. Well, maybe that's due to a 14 month engagement...but then again- it could be due to the fact that I am SO very ready to be married :)

As far as wedding business goes....my dress ships in a little over a week!!!!! I can't wait!!!! I think I have found the hairstyle for the big day, as well as determined my veil fiasco..and whether I was going to wear it ontop of my hair, or have it coming out from below. How did I solve this, you ask??? I suppose you will have to attend the big day, to find out ;) I'm very very excited about my conclusion, and think it will work out perfectly!!!!!

Lets see...Rob and I bought all of the scrapbook/cardstock paper we needed for our Save the Date invites! YAHOO!! We went last weekend out to the Gaylord, and took the picture for them as well! Now, I just need to find 98239813 sheets of Vellum, and find some ribbon...and then we can put them together and mail them out!

I need to pick out Flower Girl Dresses

I/We need to determine what kind of Tux's the guys will wear...

I need to meet with Laurens mom, and determine our cakes :)

And all of the smaller- minute yet MASSIVE details :)

The diet is progressing lovely. We have majorly cut back on things, and have begun eating much healthier. Even hitting the gym as well!!! I sure hope to see some results, soon!!

Rob and I have a small, quaint Engagement Party this Saturday night. Just a few close people, who are in town. It's a Mexican Theme/Margarita party..so it should be lots of fun :)

Work is going fabulous...and I love my job!
The Dogs are still nuts...that will never change :)

Alright...it's short but sweet...and I won't wait another 2 weeks before updating again :)

Gaylord ICE!!!

Rob and I ventured out to the Gaylord on Saturday night for a special date =) We went and saw the Gaylord Ice presentation they have out there. It was incredible. The ice was incredible, and my nose got incredibly COLD!!! It was a lot of fun, but I will say that if we go again, we will pick some day of the week to go! We went at 8:00 PM on a Saturday and the wait was crazy!!!! Not to mention, once you got inside the exhibit, you were again waiting, as you walked through.

It was really really fun, but I'll admit my patience was running thin because of all the waiting....I am still very glad we went! Here are some pictures of us, in the 9 degree temperature, wearing the jackets they provided =)

Let me Start..

....by stating that sweet Rob now has aquired the information needed to log onto our blog, and post =) I hope he behaves.....but I can't promise anything!!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! Rob is such a sweetie =) He is sooooo very good at surprises, which I AM NOT GOOD AT. Just ask him. In fact, the other day, I was sitting there on the edge of the couch talking about how I had just ordered his birthday present 2 days prior. I got so excited that I opened my computer and said "Here, wanna see what it is???" And I showed him his present, LOL! Then, we had a very good friend in town the other night, staying at our home while he was here on business. Anyway, we were talking ab out SO's presents for Christmas, and then I held up my computer to my face, and whispered behind it, what I was getting Rob for Christmas. Then I put the computer back on my lap and said "Baby, I'm getting you an 18 Volt Drill for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!". See, I'm pitiful. Can't do surprises....can't keep anything from Rob!!!

Well...he is QUITE the opposite!!!

Our engagement was COMPLETELY SHOCKING to me. Every present or gift he has ever given me was completely by surprise! I love it!!!

So today, my sweet fiancee called to tell me that he is going to be flying to North Carolina on Friday for business. "Ok", I thought...nothing different from his normal travel for work. Then he says...and YOU are flying out to N.C on Saturday morning to join me! And...he is taking me to the Dallas Cowboy vs. Panther game on Saturday evening!!!!!!!!!! ANDDDD to top it off???? IT WILL BE MY BIRTHDAY!!!! How fun is that?!?! We have tickets in a SUITE, and I just can't wait to go!!!!! We will return on Sunday, and then head out shortly after that, for our Christmas in Arkansas.

I am just so excited...and he is so very thoughtful, and I am incredibly lucky!!!

I LOVE YOU ROB, AND CAN'T WAIT TO BE YOUR WIFE =)

Sights of Now....and Forever

Ok...I hope this made you laugh :) I suuuuure did get a kick out of it!!! But it all really is for a good cause.

Rob received his very early wedding gift on Friday. Rob has been wearing contacts and/or glasses since he was 12 years old. I can't begin to understand how annoying glasses and contacts are, as I have never had to wear them. I do know, however, that before Rob does ANYTHING each morning, he has to "put drops in his contacts"...before he can even open his eyes in the morning and talk to me, he has to run and "put drops in his eyes." I feel for him. I know it's can't be fun. And if it's not having to put drops in his eyes, he has something in his contact, or his eyes are bothering him, or his contacts needs to be fixed or changed, etc..etc...

So- for Rob's wedding gift, I got him IntraLasik Surgery. On Friday, Rob went to Dr.Boothe's office and had lasik eye surgery. On our wedding day, and for the rest of our lives together, I want Rob to see us and our family with the eyes God gave him. I want him to see me for all that I am, and to see our children and our future as clearly as possible, without the aide of glasses or contacts.

I want him to experience our wedding emotionally for all that it is, but I want him to be able to see it for all that it is as well.

I never want him to have to put drops in his eyes again, or change contacts, or have his eyes be dry, or have to wear glasses.

So- Rob went and had his surgery on Friday. He is doing very very very well. I gave this to him early, so he will be completely healed up by the time our wedding and the pre-events come around.

Rob, I love you so much-and I hope that having your sight returned to you- is all that you "envisioned" it to be ;)

Refreshed!!! I am feeling refreshed. I have been given the encouragement and reminding that I have been needing, and everything is going to be ok. It is going to be MORE than ok. It may take a while to get there, and the road may be bumpy, but it IS going to be ok.
Let's see...this weekend on Friday, I will be working a half day. My aunt is going to be in town, so we are going to try on the 6 bridesmaid dresses that I have narrowed it down too, LOL. Shut Up. I've narrowed it down to 6...that's good enough for now!! I still don't have an exact color palate yet, and I think my florist is going to strangle me...but at least I've got the style of dress down..........................................kinda =)
So that is what is going on Friday. Then Saturday morning, Rob and I are leaving bright and early to go on a small bike trip. We are taking the bikes to Louisiana, about 4 hours from here, to hang out with a small group of friends for the afternoon/evening. We are REALLY looking forward to it, and sure hope the weather holds up!!
Sunday, we are returning home early, and will be going to dinner for my mom's birthday!!! There are QUITE a few of us getting together, so I know it will be a good time!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
*And to a very special friend....you will be ok. Everything is going to be ok. It's not going to be easy making it through...but you will. You have too. Don't give up...it can get better =)

My Monday Nights

So tonight I got home from work, and Rob and Beudreaux and I went for a run/walk. I am having to build up some major endurance for running...so right now it's a slow process for this whole "running" thing. However, I tried. I nearly saw the pearly gates of Heaven while experiencing what must have been hell on earth, but I tried =) Anyway, we came back home and I fixed dinner. After cleaning up, it's time to relax =)

Sadie and Beudreaux fight over tennis balls, and tennis ball material-like toys...among some other squeaker toys and such. Rob enjoys relaxing on the couch perpindicular to the loveseat I veg on, and I sit and smile and admire my crazy, hectic, almost magic, wonderful, beautiful life.

I folded....

I did it. I folded. I don't quite know what to think =) I never thought I (hmm, or we) would have a blog. Of course, Rob doesn't quiiiite know about this yet...but hey..that's ok, right??? We'll see how it all works out. It seems like everyone and their dog has a blog..so I suppose we (and our dogs), should too!!

Well- lets see here...first things first. Rob and I are engaged!!! We are getting married October 11, 2008 and we couldn't be more excited!! I think Rob is just as excited that I've done a majority of the wedding planning without annoying him, as I am for the wedding itself =) Oh well. According to other females (and males) and all of the dozes of wedding planning articles I read each day, planning the wedding isn't something MOST men get thrilled about. Which is fine with me!

Basically Rob has just asked me to tell him what day and what time to show up, and he will be there. Although, I do think that need to make it clear, that I expect him to show up sober to the festivities that day, LOL. I think I will have someone spy and make sure that he gets to bed at a decent hour on that Friday night.

Ok- so we are getting married and we couldn't be happier. Spending our lives together is going to be absolutely amazing. Thick and thin, hills and valley's, we are in it! Mark your calendars. October 11, 2008.

So we also have 2 dogs. Beudreaux, and Sadie. Hence the picture above... Beudeaux is an almost 5 year old Lab, who is more human, than dog. Sadie is our Schnauzer: aka-"our pistol". She is a mess. Love, love, love that girl...but she is such a troublemaker!!! She just turned 1. As most people who have dogs, and do not yet have children, these critters are our "kids" Pain in the butts lots of the time, but a joy to have around! Our life would be much less eventful if we didn't have these pups!!
Rob and I just built our first home. We signed the contract in February, and we closed on the house on August 17th, 2007. That also happens to be the very day we got engaged!!!!! (as well as my parents anniversary). Anyway, I will post the story of "the engagement" but that will have to be another time. We love this house, and it is just what we need for a good while. Decorating will be a slow process, but are you really ever 100% satisfied with your home?? Males..probably are until something breaks. Females...ehhhh, we always want to tweek something!!!
Anyway, that's the deal for now. Since I am nosey and like to keep in touch with others via the internet, I suppose it's only fair that I return the favor...even though our lives are pretty uneventful...knock on wood =)
